JAMSHEDPUR – The eviction of encroachments at Lal Baba Foundry and Kailash Nagar in Jamshedpur has ignited a political firestorm.
Tata Steel has won the legal case regarding the encroachments.
However, the eviction process has been temporarily halted.
Meanwhile, preparations are underway to file a case in the High Court.
On the other hand, the administration’s backtracking on Friday has further heated up the situation.
BJP, Congress, and Saryu Rai’s BJMO have intensified efforts to prevent the removal of encroachments.
Moreover, former MP Dr. Ajay Kumar, a potential Congress candidate, was present during the proceedings.
Dr. Kumar openly criticized former Chief Minister and current Odisha Governor Raghubar Das.
He questioned why Lal Baba Foundry and Kailash Nagar were not separated when 86 settlements were detached from Tata lease.
Furthermore, Dr. Kumar began chanting slogans against Raghubar Das.
In response, BJP leader Kulwant Singh Bunty protested, leading to a chaotic situation.
Consequently, Dr. Kumar had to leave the area.
The incident has significantly heightened political tensions in the region.
