Police Nab Man with Brown Sugar in Birsanagar Raid

JAMSHEDPUR – Police have apprehended a man in Birsanagar, recovering a significant amount of brown sugar from his home.

The suspect, identified as 29-year-old A Patel, resides in Zone No. 1, Birsanagar.

Law enforcement officials discovered 2.41 grams of brown sugar during the raid.

The illegal substance was found packed in 38 separate pouches.

Moreover, police believe Patel’s cousins are also involved in the drug trade.

Rahul Karmakar and Ajay Karmakar are currently being sought by authorities.

Meanwhile, the arrest resulted from a tip-off received by the Senior Superintendent of Police.

The informant reported illegal brown sugar sales in Birsanagar on September 17.

Acting swiftly on this intelligence, police conducted a raid on Patel’s residence.

During the search, officers uncovered the drug stash in the suspect’s bedroom.

The brown sugar pouches were concealed within a black plastic bag.

"This arrest is a significant step in our ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking," stated a police spokesperson.

Furthermore, authorities are intensifying their search for the two absconding suspects.

The police urge the public to report any information regarding illegal drug activities.

This incident highlights the persistent challenge of drug trade in the region.

Law enforcement agencies continue to work diligently to curb such illegal operations.
