Vande Bharat Express will begin operations between Tatanagar and Patna, reducing travel time from 11 to 7 hours.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Vande Bharat Express is set to revolutionize travel between Tatanagar and Patna, commencing operations on August 15 and significantly reducing journey time.

The new service is expected to complete the route in approximately six and a half to seven hours.

Currently, the journey takes between ten and a half to eleven hours.

Trial runs for the Vande Bharat Express are scheduled to begin on August 10.

Railway rakes for the service have already arrived in Chakradharpur.

A railway official stated, "Preparations are in full swing for the launch with trial operations starting soon."

Tatanagar is being developed as a major maintenance hub for Vande Bharat trains.

Trackside traction wires are being installed at Washing Line number 1, with modern equipment worth Rs. 22 crore being set up.

The installation of traction wires is expected to be completed by August 10, enabling effective washing and maintenance of train coaches.

Trials will assess the train’s speed, safety, and comfort before regular service commences.

Employees from Tatanagar coaching depot, trained in Vande Bharat maintenance, will now train local staff.

The training will cover all technical and safety standards required for maintaining the high-speed trains.

This development highlights the railways’ commitment to providing efficient and high-quality services.

The official announcement of the train’s schedule is yet to be made by the railways.
