CHAIBASA – Security forces in West Singhbhum’s Saranda Forest successfully recovered and destroyed three IEDs planted by Naxals, thwarting their plans to harm the forces.

The three IEDs, each weighing 5 kilograms, were discovered during a search operation in the jungle-hilly areas near Gamhariagada and Rogaburu, along the border of Chotanagara and Jaraikela police station limits.

Naxals had planted these explosive devices with the intent to target security personnel operating in the area.

However, the vigilant security forces, with the assistance of a bomb disposal squad, safely neutralized the explosives.

This operation marks a significant victory in the ongoing efforts to counter Naxal activities in the region.

The discovery and destruction of the IEDs have prevented potential casualties and ensured the safety of the security forces.

Authorities have intensified their search operations in the region to further dismantle Naxal networks and secure the area.
