CM-appointed delegation assesses damage, promises aid to victims’ families
Ministerial team conducts aerial survey of Barabambo train accident, pledges support for affected individuals and families.
JAMSHEDPUR – A high-level delegation, dispatched by Chief Minister Hemant Soren, conducted an aerial inspection of the Barabambo train accident site on Tuesday evening.
Health Minister Banna Gupta, Tribal Welfare Minister Deepak Birua, and local legislator Dashrath Gagarai comprised the visiting team.
The delegation engaged with officials to gather comprehensive details about the incident.
Minister Gupta announced financial assistance for the affected families:
– Rs. 2 lakh for deceased victims’ families
– Rs. 50,000 for injured individuals
The funds will be disbursed from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
Gupta emphasized the need for superior medical care for those injured in the accident.
MLA Gagarai expressed his sympathy for the bereaved families and wished for the swift recovery of the injured.
Political Reactions and Support
Former Chief Minister Arjun Munda, despite being overseas, conveyed his condolences for the two passengers who lost their lives.
Munda contacted senior officials to stay informed about the situation and stressed the importance of providing optimal healthcare to the injured.

DLSA Secretary Tausif Meraj instructed volunteers to:
– Provide care to the injured
– Distribute water and food to passengers
