Inner Wheel Club Jamshedpur Marks 29th Installation Ceremony

Global Organization Celebrates Centenary, Welcomes New Leadership

Inner Wheel’s century-long legacy of service continues in Jamshedpur as local chapter installs new officers and recommits to humanitarian causes.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur recently commemorated its 29th installation ceremony at a prominent hotel on Marine Drive.

This event coincides with the global organization’s centennial celebration, marking 100 years of service worldwide.

Inner Wheel boasts an impressive membership of over 120,000 individuals across 100 countries and 4,000 clubs.

Alakananda Bakshi, the District Chairman for 2024-25, graced the occasion as the chief guest.

The ceremony featured a symbolic handover of leadership from Immediate Past President Archana Shekar to incoming Club President Sarika Singh.

Joining Sarika Singh in the new leadership team are Vice President Babita Sharma and Secretary Agnes Boyle.

Jyoti Bhagat assumes the role of Treasurer, while Raksha Makati and Bidya Tiwari take on the positions of Editor and ISO respectively.

The event saw participation from Presidents and Secretaries of other Inner Wheel Clubs, showcasing the organization’s unity.

This year’s theme, ‘Heartbeat for Humanity,’ introduced by International Inner Wheel President Mamta Gupta, underscores the club’s humanitarian focus.

The Jamshedpur chapter has outlined key focus areas for the upcoming year, including cervical cancer vaccination initiatives.

Environmental projects also feature prominently in their planned activities.

Support programs for elderly citizens form another crucial aspect of their community outreach efforts.

Literacy promotion continues to be a priority for the club’s social improvement agenda.

The organization remains committed to various other initiatives aimed at enhancing societal well-being.

This installation ceremony not only marks a new chapter for the local club but also reaffirms its dedication to making a positive impact in Jamshedpur and beyond.
