Jharkhand to Experience Heavy Rains and Thunderstorms in the Coming Days

Jharkhand is set to witness significant rainfall and thunderstorms over the next few days as per the latest updates from the Meteorological Centre in Ranchi.

RANCHI – The Meteorological Centre in Ranchi has issued a series of alerts warning about the possibility of heavy rainfall and thunderstorms in various districts of Jharkhand over the next few days.

The Meteorological Centre in Ranchi has forecasted that there will be scattered thunderstorms with lightning in eight districts of Jharkhand.

The center has issued an official statement stating that these weather conditions are expected to start at 8:30 AM IST on July 11th and continue until 8:30 AM IST on July 13th.

It is recommended that people living in these areas stay inside and avoid open fields for their own safety.

During a period of two hours, there were four different alerts that were issued to warn about the severity of the upcoming weather.

Affected Districts

The alerts specify the following districts to be affected:

  • Sahibganj
  • Godda
  • Deoghar
  • Latehar
  • Ramgarh
  • Chatra
  • Gumla
  • Ranchi

In a statement issued at 3:53 PM, the forecast officer highlighted that thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are likely to occur in the state capital, Ranchi, within the next one to three hours.

Previous Warnings

Earlier warnings at 1:52 PM, 2:44 PM, and 3:42 PM had already alerted the residents of Chatra, Gumla, Deoghar, Latehar, and Ramgarh about the impending weather conditions.

Weather Impact

The latest warning suggests that thunderstorms and rainfall will bring much-needed relief from the sweltering heat, as evident in the significant change in weather experienced in Ranchi shortly after the alerts were issued.

One resident noted, “The timely alerts from the weather department have been incredibly helpful in preparing for such unpredictable weather.”

Citizens are urged to stay updated with the latest weather reports and take necessary precautions to stay safe during this period of adverse weather.
