SK Behera Urges States To Create Investment-Friendly Environment

Industry leader emphasizes need for political stability to attract automotive sector.

JAMSHEDPUR – During the CII Manufacturing Conclave East, SK Behera, Chairman of CII Eastern Region, emphasized the impressive expansion of India’s manufacturing sector.

"The manufacturing sector in India is experiencing notable growth thanks to the rise in investments," Behera stated.

He talked about the worries regarding the impact of political instability on investments in states like Jharkhand and West Bengal.

"The auto industry’s hesitance to invest here has a direct impact on the employment opportunities for local youth," Behera pointed out.

The chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has called on governments to create a favorable environment that will attract investments.

"We need to go beyond political barriers, particularly when it comes to attracting investments in the automotive sector," he emphasized.

Behera mentioned that Odisha is a great example of a state that has successfully attracted a large amount of investments.

He was hopeful about the future of manufacturing in India, giving credit to the support and initiatives of the central government.

"The future of manufacturing appears to be promising, but it will require collaboration," Behera concluded.

This statement highlights how crucial political stability is in promoting industrial growth in different states of India.
