Darbhanga Dairy Shop in Jamshedpur’s Mango Falls Victim to Late-Night Heist

Thief Makes Off with Lakhs in Cash, Caught on Camera

Local business owner suspects inside job as burglar demonstrates familiarity with shop layout.

JAMSHEDPUR – A daring theft at Darbhanga Dairy on Mango Dimna Road has left the owner reeling and police searching for clues. The incident, discovered Thursday morning, saw the perpetrator make off with a substantial sum.

Shop owner Sanjeev Chaudhary arrived to open his business as usual, only to find the cash box emptied and signs of entry through the roof. He promptly alerted authorities.

"The method of entry suggests someone familiar with our setup," Chaudhary remarked. "It’s concerning to think it might be an inside job."

Investigation Underway

Local police responded swiftly, commencing their investigation at the scene.

Chaudhary detailed the thief’s entry method, involving a plywood door on the first floor accessed via the roof.

CCTV footage captured the entire incident, showing the burglar’s precise movements.

"The footage reveals the thief entered at 2:10 AM, heading straight for the cash," an investigator noted. "They clearly knew what they were after."

Substantial Loss

The shop owner estimates the stolen amount between Rs 2 to 2.5 lakh.

Notably, no other items in the shop were disturbed, focusing suspicion on the cash as the primary target.

This incident has raised concerns about security measures for local businesses in the Mango area.

Police are urging anyone with information to come forward as they continue their search for the culprit.
