Workshop Highlights Investment Knowledge and Career Opportunities in Finance

Srinath University’s School of Commerce and Management, in collaboration with the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM), has successfully concluded a two-day workshop aimed at enhancing financial literacy among young citizens.

JAMSHEDPUR – The School of Commerce and Management at Srinath University wrapped up a two-day workshop on ‘Financial Education of Young Citizens,’ held in partnership with the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM).

The workshop aimed to provide students with crucial financial knowledge and skills, equipping them for a successful future.

The sessions were led by Prof. (Dr.) Raman Ballabh, a seasoned academician and management expert with over 29 years of experience.

Prof. Ballabh offered in-depth sessions covering various aspects of securities market investments.

He emphasized the essential prerequisites, precautions, and risks associated with these investments.

He also highlighted the wide array of employment opportunities available in the financial services industry.

The workshop served to inspire students, providing insights into potential career paths in sectors such as FINTECH, broking, regulatory bodies like SEBI, stock exchanges like BSE and NSE, depositories such as CDSL and NSDL, mutual funds, Portfolio Management Services (PMS), banking, and non-banking financial companies (NBFCs).

Moreover, the workshop equipped students with the skills needed to successfully navigate job interviews in these sectors.

It also provided strategies for managing personal finances and exploring self-employment opportunities through investments.

By the end of the two-day session, students were empowered with practical knowledge about the securities markets, enhancing their ability to evaluate investment opportunities effectively.
