Chakradharpur Division Allocates 32 Lakh for Environmental Initiative
Tatanagar Railway Hospital will soon have a new sewerage water treatment plant, as per the mandate from the Chakradharpur division under National Green Tribunal (NGT) regulations.
JAMSHEDPUR – As part of a commendable environmental effort, Tatanagar Railway Hospital will be installing a new sewerage water treatment plant. The project has received funding of around 32 lakh rupees.
The main goal of this project is to tackle environmental issues and improve the efficiency of water usage in the hospital premises.
The agency in charge will start their work soon after they have done a site inspection at the hospital.
The treatment plant will process wastewater from medical procedures, cleaning activities, and bathrooms, transforming it into water that can be used for gardening and cleaning.
This groundbreaking solution seeks to address future water scarcity concerns in the railway area.
As part of the installation process, three tanks will be built within the hospital. These tanks will be connected to the sewage pipeline, ensuring efficient collection from each ward.
The initial tank will collect wastewater, while the subsequent tank will guide it towards the treatment plant for the purpose of recycling.
The water that has been treated will be continuously circulated throughout the hospital premises using the third tank, guaranteeing a steady supply of water.
In a disappointing turn of events, the progress of a water recycling plant project near Tatanagar Central School has come to a halt for the past nine months. This unfortunate delay is a result of the contracting agency’s departure.
The railway authorities are currently searching for a new agency to take over and finish this project. The goal of the project is to save up to one lakh gallons of water every day by recycling it for cleaning train coaches, platforms, and railway lines.
The initiative at Tatanagar Railway Hospital showcases a forward-thinking approach to managing water resources and taking care of the environment.
