Encroachment Could Lead to Severe Water-Logging Issues During Rainy Season

JAMSHEDPUR – Residents of Bagbera Riverview Society and Naya Basti have expressed concern over the encroachment of land near a nearby drain and temple. This issue has raised alarm within the community.
It has been noticed that soil is being dumped in the area, which is causing the drain to become narrower. This could potentially result in significant water-logging problems during the rainy season.
Residents recently filed a complaint with the Circle Officer of Jamshedpur, expressing their concerns about the encroachment and the potential dangers it poses.
Kishore Yadav, a former Zila Parishad member, highlighted the importance of addressing the issue of encroachment, which has resulted in a noticeable decrease in the width of the drain.
He strongly urged for prompt action to address the encroachment within a week, emphasizing the possibility of protests if no action is taken.
More complaints have been lodged with the Sub-Divisional Officer and the Baghbeda police station in-charge.
The delegation consisted of prominent members from the community, including Vipin Tiwari, Kuli Singh, Pawan Singh, Kishore Yadav, Shriman Mishra, Madan Singh, Ganesh Singh, RB Rai, Rajkumar, and Sanjay Kumar.
The community is eagerly anticipating swift action to prevent any additional encroachment and the potential risks that come with it.
