JAMSHEDPUR – Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, currently out on interim bail until June 1 for Lok Sabha election campaigning, addressed a lively election rally in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, supporting JMM candidate Samir Kumar Mohanty.

During his speech, Kejriwal commended Kalpana Soren, wife of imprisoned JMM leader Hemant Soren, likening her to the legendary Jhansi ki Rani for her defiance against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Delhi CM asserted that PM Modi’s intention to jail Soren and himself has backfired, as AAP governments in Delhi and Punjab and the JMM government in Jharkhand remain intact, with all AAP and JMM leaders united against the Prime Minister.

Kejriwal questioned the legal actions against Hemant Soren, emphasizing that no court has found him guilty yet, and labeling the situation as Modi’s "goondagardi" (hooliganism).

The AAP leader expressed confidence in the upcoming elections, predicting that the I.N.D.I.A bloc will secure all 14 seats in Jharkhand.

Following his speech, Kejriwal energized the crowd by playing a drum, engaging with supporters as part of the election campaigning for the I.N.D.I.A bloc in Jamshedpur.

He also thanked Hemant Soren for providing crucial assistance to Delhi during the pandemic, acknowledging Jharkhand’s support in combating the crisis.

During the rally, Kejriwal reminisced about his early career days spent in Jamshedpur, where he worked with Tata Steel from 1989 to 1992, sharing his personal connection to the city and evoking a warm response from the audience.

This rally in Jamshedpur highlights the solidarity and resilience of opposition leaders amidst political turmoil, marking a significant moment in the ongoing election campaign.
