Elephant Breaks Into SFC Warehouse and Mahavir Soap Factory, Causing Significant Damage

In Chakulia, a wild elephant caused extensive damage last night by breaking into the SFC warehouse and the Mahavir Soap Factory, creating panic among the residents.

JAMSHEDPUR – A wild elephant broke the shutter of the main gate of the SFC warehouse in the Agricultural Produce Market Committee premises in Chakulia last night.

The elephant extracted four bags of rice from the warehouse, consuming and wasting them.

AGM Krishna Munda reported that in the last 10 days, elephants have broken into the SFC warehouse six times to access the grains.

The rampage continued as the elephant created havoc at the Mahavir Soap Factory, located adjacent to the Forest Department office.

The elephant broke the boundary wall of the factory, causing significant damage.

Factory owner Raj Kumar Aggarwal confirmed that the elephant had broken the factory gate and the boundary wall during its intrusion last night.

According to reports, the elephant was initially housed in the cow shed of the nearby Kolkata Pinjrapole Society.

The elephant exited the cow shed premises at night and began its rampage, subsequently returning to the cow shed.

The recurring incidents have raised concerns among the local residents and business owners about their safety and the protection of their properties.

Authorities are being urged to implement measures to prevent further damage and ensure the safety of the community.

Efforts to control and manage the wild elephant population are now a priority for local officials.

Residents are advised to remain vigilant and report any sightings of wild elephants in the area to the authorities immediately.

The repeated break-ins by the elephant underscore the pressing need for effective wildlife management strategies.
