Rahul Gandhi and Champai Soren Rally Support for India Alliance Candidate Joba Manjhi in Chaibasa

Congress and JMM Leaders Accuse BJP of Anti-Tribal Policies, Vow to Protect Constitution and Empower Women

Former Congress National President Rahul Gandhi and Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren addressed a massive election rally at the Tata College grounds in Chaibasa on Tuesday, urging voters to support India Alliance candidate Joba Manjhi from the Singhbhum parliamentary seat.

CHAIBASA – In a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rahul Gandhi accused the central government of depriving tribals, Dalits, and backward people of their rights.

He emphasized that tribal people have the first right to water, forests, and land, but the Modi government seeks to strip them of these resources.

"The BJP government does not want to give tribals, Dalits, and backward people their rights," Rahul Gandhi asserted, adding that the central government aims to abolish the Constitution, which guarantees fundamental rights to all citizens.

Champai Soren Slams BJP’s Politics of Lies

Echoing Rahul Gandhi’s sentiments, Chief Minister Champai Soren accused the BJP of engaging in politics of lies and confusing voters through rhetoric.

He highlighted the hardships faced by people due to unemployment and inflation, stating that the BJP has cheated the tribals.

"We are working to save the tribal tradition and culture," Soren affirmed, criticizing Prime Minister Modi for not addressing the welfare of tribal people during his recent visit to Chaibasa.

Kalpana Soren Calls for Revenge Voting

Kalpana Soren, wife of former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, who is currently in jail, urged the people to take revenge by voting against the BJP for sending a tribal leader to prison.

She accused the central government of harassing the opposition by misusing government institutions and appealed to the public to respond through their votes.

"It’s time to take revenge for sending a tribal leader to jail," Kalpana Soren declared, assuring the crowd that Hemant Soren will be released from jail.

India Alliance Promises Historic Work

Rahul Gandhi pledged that if the India Alliance government is formed, they will undertake historic work, including making crores of women, particularly tribal women, millionaires.

He announced a plan to deposit one lakh rupees annually into the account of every woman to transform their lives.

Gandhi appealed for the victory of JMM candidate Joba Manjhi, emphasizing that by voting for Tir Kaman, people will enable the India Alliance to save the Constitution.

The election rally witnessed a massive turnout, with senior Congress and JMM leaders, including Ghulam Ahmed Mir, Rajesh Thakur, Banna Gupta, Pradeep Kumar Balmuchu, Sonaram Sinku, Sukhram Oraon, and Deepak Biruva, in attendance.

As the battle for the Singhbhum parliamentary seat intensifies, the India Alliance is leaving no stone unturned in its efforts to secure victory and protect the rights of tribals, Dalits, and backward communities in Jharkhand.
