Young Siblings’ Short Film on Voter Awareness Receives Special Mention from Jharkhand’s Chief Electoral Officer

Ruchika Narayan, Raghav Srivastava, and Chirag Srivastava’s "Ek Vote Ki Keemat" Shines Among 40 Shortlisted Entries in Voter Awareness Contest

Three young siblings from Jamshedpur have been recognized by the Chief Electoral Officer of Jharkhand for their short film "Ek Vote Ki Keemat," which aims to raise voter awareness and emphasize the importance of each vote.

RANCHI – A trio of talented siblings from the city has been honored by Jharkhand’s Chief Electoral Officer for their short film promoting voter awareness, which creatively compares the value of a single vote to the significance of saving one rupee daily for future financial stability.

Ruchika Narayan (Class 2, Hilltop School), Raghav Srivastava (Class 5, Candy Floss School), and Chirag Srivastava (Class 9, Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya) are the creative minds behind the film.

The Chief Electoral Officer’s Office in Ranchi collaborated with GR8 Film to organize the Voter Awareness Contest, which attracted a total of 40 shortlisted entries across various categories, including short films, reels, music videos, and poster-making.

"Ek Vote Ki Keemat," the siblings’ two-minute film, stood out among the submissions and received a Special Mention for its impactful message.

The film features an elder brother portraying a grandfather who imparts wisdom to his younger siblings about the importance of every single vote.

Chief Electoral Officer K Ravi Kumar and other officials praised the children’s initiative and commended their efforts to highlight the significance of voting at a young age.

The jury meticulously evaluated each submission before selecting the deserving winners among the 41 awards distributed.

K Ravi Kumar emphasized the crucial role of social media influencers in promoting such initiatives and encouraging further participation.

Joint Chief Electoral Officer Subodh Kumar underlined the growing importance of social media in today’s context and its potential to boost voter turnout.
