Singhbhum’s Young Writers Program Celebrates Emerging Literary Talent

On a notable day for local literary pursuits, 15 students from Utkramit Madhya Vidyalaya, Tangrain in Potka Block participated in the "Yuva Rachanakar" or Young Writers program organized by the Singhbhum District Hindi Sahitya Sammelan. The event took place at Tulsi Bhawan and was led by Arun Kumar Tiwari, a trustee of the institute.

JAMSHEDPUR – UMV Tangrain, under the guidance of its headmaster Arbind Tiwary, has been recognized for its distinctive and innovative educational initiatives.

The Young Writers program brought together approximately 150 students from 21 local schools, starting with the traditional lighting of the lamp ceremony.

Throughout the day, sessions delved into various literary fields including poetry, storytelling, and journalism, catering to the diverse interests of the students.

Notable local poet Sheshnath Singh ‘Sharad’ conducted the poetry workshop, while Divyendu Tripathi led the storytelling session.

Sanjay Mishra, editor of ‘Prabhat Khabar’, facilitated the journalism discussion, providing insights into the world of media and reporting.

The event culminated with a special session where students showcased their literary creations by reciting their own poems.

Participants were awarded certificates for their involvement, and teachers received garments and bouquets in recognition of their contribution to fostering literary talents.

Cultivating Future Literati

"The Young Writers program is pivotal in nurturing the literary talents of our youth and integrating them into the broader cultural fabric of our society," remarked Chancellor Prabhakar Singh of Sona Devi University, highlighting the event’s significance in promoting Hindi literature among young minds.

This initiative not only emphasizes the importance of literary skills but also encourages students to express themselves creatively in a supportive environment.
