JAMSHEDPUR – The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the results of the Combined Civil Services Examination 2023, revealing significant achievements by candidates from Jharkhand.

Swati Sharma, daughter of a former Army soldier, achieved the 17th rank, while Sakshi Jamuar, daughter of the Deputy Commissioner of Garhwa, Shekhar Jamuar, secured the 89th position nationally.

This year’s examination topper is Aditya Srivastava, followed by Animesh Pradhan, Donuru Ananya Reddy, PK Siddharth Ramkumar, and Ruhani, rounding out the top five. The results were declared on the UPSC’s official website, upsc.gov.in.

In a statement on social media platform X, Banna Gupta, Jharkhand’s Health Minister, congratulated the successful candidates.

He extended his best wishes to all the successful candidates, including Harshit Verma and Ritvik Verma, who ranked 272nd and 520th respectively.

Swati Sharma shared insights into her educational journey that contributed to her success. Having moved frequently due to her father’s military postings, Swati completed her matriculation at Army Secondary School in Kolkata and pursued further education at Tagore Academy in Sakchi.

She later graduated with an MA in Political Science from Jamshedpur Women’s College, Bistupur, in 2019.

“My father’s service in the army inspired me to serve the nation, and this success is a step towards that goal,” said Sharma.
