JAMSHEDPUR – A patient from Chaibasa arrived at MGM Hospital around 4 am on Monday with a slit throat, leaving him in a critical condition and at risk of losing his life due to continuous blood loss.

Upon examination, the doctors determined that the patient’s windpipe had been cut, putting his life in grave danger.

ENT Department Head Leads Emergency Response

Dr. Sanjay Kumar, the head of the ENT department, was immediately informed of the situation.

He promptly alerted Dr. Rohit Jha and Dr. Bhimsen Hansda, who rushed to the hospital within half an hour.

Operation Theater Opened at 4:30 AM for Life-Saving Surgery

The specialist doctors from the ENT department wasted no time in opening the operation theater at 4:30 am, allowing them to begin the patient’s surgery without delay.

The operation lasted approximately one and a half hours, during which the doctors worked tirelessly to save the patient’s life.

Doctors’ Activeness and Spirit Praised by All

The doctors’ swift response and unwavering commitment to their patient’s well-being earned them widespread praise from everyone at the hospital on Monday.

“As soon as we learned that the patient’s windpipe was cut, everyone rushed to the hospital,” said Dr. Rohit Jha, emphasizing the urgency of the situation.

Patient’s Condition Posed Serious Risks

Dr. Jha explained that the patient’s relatives were informed about his critical condition, and the operation was carried out without any delay.

The cut windpipe caused the patient to experience difficulty breathing and posed the risk of blood entering his lungs, which could have proved fatal.

Financial Constraints Made MGM Hospital the Only Option

Given the patient’s poor financial condition, he was unable to seek treatment at other hospitals, making MGM Hospital his only hope for survival.

The doctors’ timely intervention and expertise ensured that the patient received the life-saving care he desperately needed, regardless of his financial situation.
