Jamshedpur Siblings Promote Voting Awareness

Short film ‘The Price of a Vote’ by local siblings earns praise for its message on civic engagement

In a creative endeavor to boost voter awareness, three siblings from Jamshedpur have produced a compelling short film titled ‘The Price of a Vote,’ garnering widespread attention and acclaim on social media for its message and performances.

JAMSHEDPUR – The film, shot entirely on a mobile phone, showcases the talent of local schoolchildren Chirag Srivastava, Ruchika Narayan, and Raghav Srivastava in a narrative that emphasizes the importance of each vote in a democracy.

Chirag Srivastava, a student of Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya, portrays the grandfather, while Ruchika Narayan and Raghav Srivastava play the role of the grandchildren, delivering a message on the value of civic engagement.

The storyline, a brainchild of the siblings themselves, draws an insightful parallel between the significance of saving money and casting votes.

In the two-minute film, the young actors adeptly convey the critical message that every vote counts, likening it to the practice of saving money.

Their performances have been met with praise, highlighting the film’s creativity and the relevance of its message in promoting voter awareness.

With ‘The Price of a Vote,’ these young filmmakers from Jamshedpur have underscored the crucial role of civic engagement, inspiring audiences to recognize the value of their vote in the democratic process.
