In a significant move to uphold the integrity of the electoral process in Jamshedpur, authorities have ramped up surveillance and enforcement activities. Ananya Mittal, the District Commissioner and Election Officer, has taken proactive steps to ensure that the upcoming elections are conducted fairly and free from undue influence.
JAMSHEDPUR – Ananya Mittal, the Election Officer, conducted inspections at polling booths and check-points in Jamshedpur, reinforcing the need for strict adherence to the Model Code of Conduct.
The inspections were part of a broader strategy to maintain the sanctity of the electoral process.
To prevent the illegal transportation of items that could disrupt the elections, such as freebies, money, drugs, and liquor, authorities have established 18 check-posts across the district.
These check-posts are tasked with thorough investigations of all types of vehicles to intercept any unlawful activities.
The initiative also included a review of election preparations, which was carried out through a meeting with the Senior Superintendent of Police at Potka and Jamshedpur Sadar block headquarters.
This meeting aimed to coordinate efforts and ensure that all measures were in place to facilitate a smooth and transparent election.
