Five Arrested in Major Brown Sugar Seizure
Jamshedpur police crackdown on a drug ring operating near PM Mall, recovering 44 bags of brown sugar and arresting five individuals.
JAMSHEDPUR – A significant police operation near PM Mall in the Bishtupur police station area has led to the arrest of five people, including a woman, for their involvement in the illegal drug trade.
The initial arrests, made from a tempo based on tip-offs about the drug trade, yielded 10 bags of brown sugar weighing 0.84 grams and Rs 2200 in cash.
Following leads from the arrested suspects, police further apprehended two individuals, intensifying their crackdown on local drug distribution networks.
Among those detained are Mohammad Arbaaz, Mohammad Salman, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Hussaina Parveen, and Mohammad Sarfaraz, all acknowledged their role in supplying brown sugar throughout Jamshedpur.
The seizure of the tempo and subsequent arrests underscore a concerted effort by Jamshedpur police to dismantle drug distribution operations within the city.
This operation marks a significant step in combatting the spread of illegal narcotics in Jamshedpur, reflecting the police department’s commitment to curbing drug-related activities.
