Sanjeev Choudhary wins second term as Tata Workers’ Union President unopposed, marking a significant moment in the union’s history.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Tata Workers’ Union recently announced its election results, marking a significant moment as Sanjeev Choudhary, also known by his moniker Tunnu Choudhary, secured his second consecutive term as President without facing any opposition.

Choudhary’s re-election underscores his strong leadership and the confidence placed in him by union members.

Prior to this, he also secured a committee member position unopposed, showcasing his uncontested influence within the organization.

The elections saw 145 of the 214 Executive Committee seats contested, with 69 candidates returning uncontested, indicating a mix of competitive spirit and consensus within the union.

Shailendra Singh emerged victorious as Deputy President, overcoming opposition from RC Jha, while Satish Kumar Singh was re-elected as General Secretary for the third time, signaling continuity in the union’s leadership.

Amod Kumar Dubey claimed the Treasurer’s post, defeating Santosh Singh and marking his debut in this role.

The defeat of several committee members, including Harishankar Singh Jogi, Bhagwan, and Neeraj Navin, highlights the competitive nature of the elections and the desire for renewal among union members.

The election results introduced a mix of seasoned and new leaders, with positions such as Vice Presidents and Assistant Secretaries filled by Shahnawaz Alam, Sanjay Kumar Singh, Sanjay Tiwari, Rajeev Kumar Choudhary, Nitesh Raj, Shyam Babu, and Ajay Kumar Choudhary.

This blend of experience and fresh perspectives is poised to steer the Tata Workers’ Union forward, reflecting the members’ trust in their leadership’s capability to navigate future challenges.
