Enchanting Performances at Annual Rabindra Sangeet Festival

The annual Rabindra Sangeet Festival, organized by Tagore Society at Rabindra Bhawan, brought warmth and applause with performances from Kolkata and Bangladesh artists.

JAMSHEDPUR – The final evening of the annual Rabindra Sangeet Festival at Rabindra Bhawan concluded with captivating performances that enthralled the audience.

Organized by Tagore Society, the three-day event featured renowned artists from Kolkata and Bangladesh.

Utsav Das, Manoj Murli Nair, Swagatalakshmi Dasgupta from Kolkata, and Tanjina Toma from Bangladesh delivered emotionally rich and melodious Rabindra Sangeet renditions.

Each performance was met with resounding ovations from the audience at Rabindra Bhawan.

The festival’s success was significantly attributed to the instrumentalists who impeccably infused rhythm into the performances.

Partho Mukherjee on the tabla, Nandan Dasgupta with the esraj, keyboardist Shubhendu Shekhar Das, and manjira player Sanjivan Acharya were notable for their contributions.

Ashis Chowdhury, Secretary of Tagore Society, stressed the importance of preserving cultural heritage through Rabindra Sangeet.

He emphasized the role of such events in educating the younger generation, thereby ensuring the continuity of this rich musical tradition.

Chowdhury articulated Tagore Society’s commitment to nurturing young talents and deepening their connection with Rabindra Sangeet for future generations.
