Jamshedpur Kids Discover City’s Key Places Through Police Initiative
Under the community policing program by East Singhbhum Police, children from remote areas in Jamshedpur received an educational tour of the city, enhancing their awareness of local landmarks and government offices.
JAMSHEDPUR – East Singhbhum Police, under the guidance of Senior Superintendent of Police Kishore Kaushal, is making significant strides in community policing across the state.
A recent initiative took place at an upgraded middle school in Jhanti Jharna, a remote area in East Singhbhum district.
Here, Senior SP Kaushal discovered that many children, despite residing in Jamshedpur, were unfamiliar with the city’s important locations and government offices.
Addressing this gap, the police organized an informative tour for these children to various Jamshedpur landmarks, including Jubilee Park and the Zoo.
The tour also included visits to several government offices, where the children had the opportunity to meet various officials.
Senior SP Kaushal highlighted the lack of awareness among children from remote rural areas about Jamshedpur’s key areas.
He emphasized the distribution of materials during the tour to further educate these children.
The initiative is part of a broader effort to integrate Naxal-affected areas into the mainstream through community policing.
