Over 100,000 Devotees Witness Divine Ganga Aarti in Domuhani

In an awe-inspiring conclusion to the Sangam Mahotsav, over 100,000 devotees experienced the spiritual magnificence of the Ganga Aarti at Domuhani, reminiscent of the revered ceremonies in Banaras and Haridwar.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Hindu Utsav Committee and Umeed Ek Abhiyan, in a joint effort, concluded the Sangam Mahotsav at Domuhani Sangam Ghat with a grand Ganga Aarti, reminiscent of the rituals observed in Banaras and Haridwar.

Marking the celebration of Makar Sankranti, this event drew more than one lakh devotees to the banks of the Sangam.

The spectacular event was accentuated by the lighting of 5,100 lamps, creating a heavenly ambiance along the riverfront.

The large-scale Alpana, illuminated by the lamp light, added to the grandeur of the occasion.

Devotees contributed to the spiritual ambiance by collectively chanting "Har Har Ganga", elevating the event’s historical significance.

Jharkhand Government Minister and local MLA, Banna Gupta, inaugurated the festivities.

In his inaugural speech, Gupta highlighted the collaborative efforts of the Hindu Utsav Committee, Umeed Ek Abhiyan, and the government in successfully organizing the event.

Brahmins from Banaras initiated the ceremony with Swastiva chants and deity worship.

The event not only celebrated the religious festival but also enhanced Jamshedpur’s cultural landscape, offering residents a divine experience akin to the famous Ganga Aarti of Banaras and Haridwar.
