Jamshedpur: ADL Society AGM Ends in Chaos Amid Opposition Protests

Annual General Meeting Adjourned, Proposals Passed Despite Opposition

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the ADL Society in Kadma, Jamshedpur, took place on Sunday evening but was marred by significant disruptions from opposition members.

JAMSHEDPUR – The AGM of ADL Society in Kadma was held on Sunday evening, beginning at 5:30 pm.

However, it quickly descended into chaos as opposition members protested, raising slogans against Y Ishwar Rao and P Simhadri while entering through the gate.

Upon reaching the meeting venue, the opposition informed the Kadma police station in-charge and the magistrate that the administration had not granted permission for the AGM.

This led to a further escalation of the ruckus, with confrontations between the ruling party and opposition members intensifying to the point of physical altercations.

In light of the worsening situation, the Kadma police station in-charge advised the ruling party to cancel the AGM as per administrative orders.

Subsequently, DSP Niranjan Tiwari arrived and recommended postponing the meeting.

Although the adjournment was announced, the ruling party swiftly sought permission from the members present to continue with the meeting and pass all proposals.

Over 300 members approved this motion, while more than 50 opposition members opposed it.

Current committee chairman Y. Ishwar Rao stated that all eight proposals had been approved by the members and declared that no further AGMs would be held, with direct elections to take place when necessary.

Additionally, Y. Ishwar Rao announced the termination of the membership of 11 opposition members during the AGM.

The life membership of K. Gurunath Rao, K.V.P. Rao, Majji Ravi, P. Ramachandra Rao alias BRC, N. Bhaskar, G. Ramesh Naidu, K. Hanumanth Rao, AV. Ramarao, A. Jagdishwar Rao, P. Nagesh Gokhale, and M. Nageshwar Rao was revoked.
