In a significant move, former Jharkhand CM Babulal Marandi took to the stage at Baharagora to lambaste the Hemant government, contrast it with the initiatives of the Central Government under PM Modi, and call for a change in state leadership.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Baharagora branch ground turned into a bustling political hub as Babulal Marandi, BJP State President and former Chief Minister of Jharkhand, addressed a massive crowd under the chairmanship of District President Saurabh Chakraborty. Padmashri Jamuna Tudu set the tone for the event by extending a floral welcome to the dignitaries.

The Central vs State Governance Dynamic

Babulal Marandi extolled the virtues of the Modi-led Central Government, emphasizing schemes like housing for the poor and the Ujjwala initiative that provides gas cylinders and stoves to impoverished families. “The Central Government is the government of the poor,” he declared.

On the flip side, Marandi took a dim view of the Hemant-led state government, dismissing it as a “government of announcements only.” He cited surging illegal activities and claimed that state machinery is more focused on increasing commissioning rather than serving the populace.

Marandi further elaborated on his criticism by exposing the problem of illegal sand mining that has plagued poor families in Jharkhand. He accused the Hemant government of turning a blind eye to healthcare and education, two key areas where, according to him, the state has utterly collapsed.

Winding up his speech, Marandi called on the crowd to take the reins of change into their hands. He encouraged them to think about the future of the state and vote responsibly in the forthcoming elections to bring about a governance overhaul.
