Tribal Group Accuses BJP of Stealing Soil from Birsa Munda Statue Site in Jamshedpur

BJP faces allegations of soil theft from Birsa Munda statue in Jamshedpur under Meri Mati Mera Desh program; tribal community demands return.

JAMSHEDPUR – During the recent Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, soil was taken from the Birsa Munda statue site in Sakchi under the ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ program by the BJP.

The act has led to outrage among a group of tribals, who accused the BJP of stealing soil.

Group members reached the Birsa Munda statue site, declaring the site of being defiled by BJP’s act and purified it by reciting prayers.

They also warned that if the soil was not returned within 48 hours, they would file a case of soil theft.

Deepak Ranjit elaborated on the incident, stating that under the leadership of BJP MP, soil was taken from the Birsa Munda idol place in the name of Amrit Utsav of Independence.

He further alleged that the BJP has begun stealing Jharkhand’s soil while forming a policy to loot tribal land.

The group insisted on the return of the soil within 48 hours, threatening legal action against the BJP for soil theft.
