Health Minister Banna Gupta emphasizes the need for collaboration to ensure the success of "Mission Indradhanush 5.0".

SERAIKELA – In order to achieve the 100% immunization target set by the "Mission Indradhanush 5.0" campaign, Health Minister Banna Gupta underlined the critical role of inter-departmental cooperation.

He expressed the state government’s commitment to enhancing the health sector and stated that the concerns regarding the honorarium increase for sahiiyas have been put forth to the Chief Minister and the Union Minister, promising a fitting resolution in the near future.

The primary objective of the campaign, according to Gupta, is to ensure the vaccination of pregnant women and newborns against 11 serious diseases.

Dr. Ajay Kumar Sinha, Civil Surgeon, stated that the program aims to immunize 550 pregnant women, 515 children aged 2 to 5, and 2379 infants aged 0 to 2 in the region.

The vaccination drive will take place from August 7-12, September 11-16, and October 9-14.

Deputy Commissioner Ravi Shankar Shukla, at the event, outlined the development of a block-level micro plan to streamline the campaign.

Field didis and frontline workers’ dedication would play a crucial role in making the campaign effective, he said.

The first phase of the "Mission Indradhanush 5.0" campaign was launched by Banna Gupta from the Sadar Hospital premises in the Seraikela-Kharsawan district.
