Prem Devi Agarwal, a 73-year-old woman, posthumously donated her eyes in a move facilitated by the Marwari Mahila Manch (MMM) Jamshedpur, casting light on the cause of eye donation.

JAMSHEDPUR – Lalita Saraiwala, a member of the Marwari Mahila Manch’s executive committee, shared an appeal from the MMM to the public.

Individuals interested in donating the eyes of a deceased loved one are encouraged to contact the Manch’s president Beena Agarwal, Sushila Khirwal, and Seema Agarwal.

The organization provides all services relating to eye and body donations, free of charge.

These altruistic gestures are recognized as inspiring and set a high standard in society.

The Marwari Mahila Manch’s campaign for eye donations remains robust, reflected in the recent act by the Agarwal family.

The programme coordinator of MMM’s eye donation initiative, Sushila Khirwal, mentioned that public awareness about eye donation has grown considerably.

The sad event of Prem Devi Agarwal’s sudden demise on Monday at 5 PM resulted in her last rites and a subsequent noble act.

Her eyes were donated in a process conducted at her Adityapur home, carried out by medical professionals Taru Gandhi, Parvinder, and Dr. Ajay Gupta of the Roshni Foundation.

This was made possible with the consent of her children, Jitendra Agarwal and Beera Agarwal, and facilitated by the Marwari Mahila Manch.

This 73-year-old resident of Adityapur City Palace, Prem Devi Agarwal, has left behind a legacy that will continue to brighten the lives of the blind.
