BJP Leader Abhay Singh Gets Bail in Jugsalai Case, But Stays in Jail Due to Mango Extortion Case

In Jamshedpur, BJP leader Abhay Singh remains jailed after production in the Mango extortion case, despite receiving bail in the Jugsalai violence case.

JAMSHEDPUR – BJP leader Abhay Singh, who was granted bail in the Jugsalai violence case, continues to remain in jail due to another case pertaining to extortion charges brought up by Mango builder Mohammad Sagir.

Singh’s release could not materialize due to production in the Mango extortion case.

Case Background:

According to the FIR filed by Mohammad Sagir, he constructed an apartment complex on land owned by Jeet N Singh in Kashidih.

He alleged that Abhay Singh and his brothers interfered in his project, creating numerous hindrances.

Sagir claims that an amount of five lakh rupees was extorted from him and one of his flats was taken over unlawfully.

However, in the case of an FIR lodged by Shekhar Singh at Sakchi police station bail was granted for Singh’s brothers.

Further Trouble for Singh:

Following Singh’s arrest related to the Kadma violence case, individuals such as Shekhar Singh and Mohammad Sagir said that they felt empowered to approach the police station.

This led to the registration of Sagir’s case in the Mango police station.

After receiving bail in the Jugsalai violence case, Abhay Singh was expected to be released but his production in the Mango builder’s case has delayed his release.

Allegations of Extortion:

Mohammad Sagir filed a case against Abhay Singh and his brothers Dilip Singh and Nirbhay Singh, accusing them of demanding extortion.

Md. Sagir stated in his FIR that he acquired the land from the late Jeet Narayan Singh in 2012 to build an apartment complex.

During the construction, according to the FIR, Abhay Singh and his brothers allegedly demanded an extortion amount of Rs 5 lakh and Rs 2 lakh per flat, with threats of violence if he failed to comply.
