CHAIBASA – Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal from West Singhbhum is set to receive a prestigious accolade.

The Bhoomi Samman Award will be presented by President Droupadi Murmu.

The award ceremony is slated for July 18 at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.

The "Bhoomi Samman" is an honour the Indian government bestows upon districts showing superior digitization of land-related documents.

Under the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP), significant strides are being made across the country.

Involving 766 districts across 28 states and union territories, the programme is ambitiously progressing.

Awards were presented to the DC and Assistant Commissioner of 75 districts for their work in improving digitalization of land records.

West Singhbhum was among these distinguished districts.

Chosen for this honour, West Singhbhum stands among nine districts in the state engaged in the DILRMP.

Other districts include Chatra, Dumka, Giridih, Gumla, Khunti, Lohardaga, Seraikela-Kharsawan, and Simdega.

These nine districts have successfully completed more than 99% of the task of digitizing sale deeds, Khatiyans, and other land-related documents.
