DPS Ranchi Hosts Major Inter-School Quiz Event, AD MELIORA 2023

Delhi Public School, Ranchi, hosts the Inter-School Quizzing Festival AD MELIORA 2023, a showcase of youthful intellectual prowess.

RANCHI – An event celebrating the intellectual capabilities of young minds, the Inter-School Quizzing Festival, AD MELIORA 2023, was hosted by Delhi Public School (DPS) Ranchi on Friday.

This platform allowed students from numerous educational institutions across Jharkhand to demonstrate their knowledge and quick-thinking abilities.

The Intellectual Assembly

The quizzing festival attracted a lively gathering of spectators and contestants. Jayant Mishra, the State Administrative Officer of the Jharkhand Education Project Council, was the Chief Guest on the occasion. A total of 200 participants from 21 schools across Jharkhand engaged in this initiative, embodying the spirit of healthy competition, teamwork, and a fervour for learning.

Participating Schools and Contests

Participating schools sent their gifted quizzers, along with mentors, to the festival. The competition was held in three stages, with questions covering a wide array of topics. The Quizmasters challenged the contestants with compelling queries. The event also included additional contests, such as ‘Arcanum Aenigma Cryptic Crossword,’ ‘Clavis Thesaurum Cryptic Hunt,’ and ‘Lords Temporal Literature Session.’

Competition Winners

The team from Vidya Vikas Public School clinched the First Position in the quiz competition, earning a cash prize of Rs. 10,000. The Second and Third Positions were won by the teams from DPS Ranchi and DPS Dhanbad respectively.

The Arcanum Aenigma Cryptic Crossword was won by DPS Bokaro, with DPS Ranchi and Loyola Convent School following in Second and Third Positions respectively.

The Clavis Thesaurum Cryptic Hunt saw ODM Sapphire Global School, DPS Ranchi, and Oxford Public School as winners.

The Lords Temporal Literature Session was won by Bishop Westcott Girls School.

The Trophy and Parting Words

While DPS Ranchi had the highest points, the Champions Trophy was awarded to Vidya Vikas Public School, the second-highest scorer, since the host school was ineligible for the trophy. Jayant Mishra and Dr. Ram Singh, Principal, praised the participants, emphasizing the limitless potential that can be nurtured through such learning opportunities.
