Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee initiates extensive cleaning and sanitation efforts in preparation for Bakrid, promoting safe practices and environmental consciousness among locals.
JAMSHEDPUR – In anticipation of the upcoming Bakrid celebrations, a comprehensive cleaning operation has been carried out across the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) jurisdiction.
This included special cleaning of mosques and surrounding areas, drain cleaning, and spraying of bleach.
In total, 13 identified mosques across 8 police station regions and 2 Idgahs were targeted for cleaning, with 24 supervisors overseeing the process.
Under the management of 8 officers, provisions were made for safe disposal of the remains post-sacrifice and widespread area cleaning.
Fogging was also arranged in the neighborhoods during the evening hours.
The deputed officers and supervisors made rounds of the areas, interacting with local mosque committees and citizens.
They appealed to everyone to dispose of the sacrificial remains in the dustbins and vehicles provided for safe burial.
Special Officer Mr. Sanjay Kumar urged the public to utilize the vehicles and dustbins provided by Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee and TSUIL, and not to dispose of the waste openly or in the drains.
Mr. Kumar emphasized the importance of celebrating Bakrid harmoniously and with an emphasis on cleanliness.
He also informed that sufficient personnel have been deployed across all regions for assistance.
This year, responding to special requests, a pit has also been created in Sakchi Mohammedan line to facilitate local residents.
