After the Balasore train accident, several trains have been cancelled or diverted, affecting passengers across various routes.
JAMSHEDPUR – Following the tragic train accident in Balasore, Odisha, multiple train services have been disrupted, resulting in the cancellation and diversion of several trains.
The 22202 Puri-Sealdah Duronto Express, scheduled for June 3, 2023, is among those cancelled.
Other cancellations include 16 different trains with journey commencement dates of June 4, 2023.
These trains include the 12703 Howrah-Secunderabad Falaknuma Express, 12245 Howrah-Yesvantpur Duronto Express, and 18045 Howrah-Hyderabad East Coast Express, among others.
In addition to the cancellations, some trains will take diverted routes. The 12663 Howrah-Tiruchirappalli Express and 12504 Agartala-Bengaluru Humsafar Express, both scheduled for June 4, will now pass through Kharagpur, Tatanagar, Rourkela, and Jharsuguda. The 18477 Puri-Haridwar Utkal Express will be diverted through Sambalpur, Jharsuguda Road, and IB. The train’s operation has been cancelled between Tatanagar and Jharsuguda stations on June 4.
Some trains, including the 2803 Shalimar Sambalpur Express, will also be rerouted through Kharagpur, Tata, Rourkela, and Jharsuguda.
Additionally, the Purushottam Express train has been cancelled for Sunday.
Passengers traveling on these routes are advised to check the current status of their trains before leaving for their respective stations.
