Swift and Turbo collide near Patratu Dam, Ramgarh. One person dead, two seriously injured.
RAMGARH – A fatal collision occurred near Patratu Dam in Ramgarh district, resulting in one death and two serious injuries.
The incident took place on the Patratu Ranchi main road near Shankar Dhaba and involved a Swift and a Turbo.
The deceased, a Swift passenger, was an employee at the CCL Barka Sayal GM office. The two injured victims were immediately referred to RIMS for urgent medical attention.
Following the accident, the Turbo driver fled the scene.
According to local sources, several overloaded Turbos travel from Patratu to Ranchi daily. Often driven by unlicensed and minor drivers at high speeds, these vehicles pose a significant risk for road accidents on this route.
Despite a police checkpoint near the dam, accidents continue to occur.
This incident marks the second fatal road accident in Patratu today, with two deaths reported at different locations.
