Elderly Man Commits Suicide by Jumping Under Train at Loco Railway Gate, Identity Still Unknown

Jamshedpur: Tragedy struck at the Loco Railway Crossing located on the rail section going from Tatanagar railway station towards Salgajhadi railway station on Tuesday morning, when an old man alledgedly committed suicide by jumping under a moving train.

The incident occurred at around 10.30 am, and even after an hour and a half, the dead body was seen lying at the railway gate itself.

Eyewitnesses reported that the old man was standing on the side of the railway gate when the Ispat Express was crossing.

Suddenly, the man ran and entered under the train.

Despite people’s attempts to stop him, he had already died, and his head was severed from the torso.

The identity of the deceased is still unknown as, after the incident, a large number of people from the neighborhood reached the railway gate to try and identify the body.

The people of the area believe that the old man must have been from the nearby vicinity.

The people commuting through the loco railway gate are facing a lot of trouble due to the death of the old man.

RPF personnel reached the spot after getting information about the incident, but the GRP was yet to arrive.

The investigation of the entire matter is now the responsibility of the Railway Police.
