Effigies of PM Modi, union government burnt at various places in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: Congress workers are protesting the alleged “persecution” of their leader Rahul Gandhi by the BJP government at the centre. A large number of Congress workers and supporters burnt the effigies of PM Narendra Modi and his government at different places in Jamshedpur.

Rahul Gandhi, a former MP from Wayanad, Kerala, and the former national president of the Congress, has been disqualified from Parliament after his conviction for 2 years in a criminal defamation case and Congress members are protesting his disqualification across the nation. Demonstrations are being conducted, and effigies are being burnt everywhere.

Congress members are demonstrating in the streets even in Jamshedpur.

Congress members protested against the union government and Prime Minister Modi and took out a funeral procession of the central government in Parsudih on Sunday.

The protestors said that the nation is presently in disarray, with restrictions on speech rights and discontent.

Congress leaders and supporters who marched in the funeral procession in Parsudih yelled anti-Modi chants and said that the nation could not stand for such a leader.

Moreover, they asserted that the nation’s democracy is being undermined.
