DC & SSP review security preparedness ahead of Holi, Shab-e-barat and Chaitra Navratra festivals in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: The Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum Vijaya Jadhav and the SSP Prabhat Kumar held a meeting with the police and administrative officials of the district and reviewed the security preparations for upcoming festivals of Holi, Shab-e-barat and Chaitra Navratra.

The meeting was held at the District Collectorate Auditorium. The DC and the SSP issued detailed instructions to the officials to ensure that all three festivals are celebrated in the district peacefully and without any untoward incident.

To address the approaching festivals of Holi, Shabe Barat, and Chaitra Navratri and the security preparedness of the administrative machinery, the Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav and SSP convened a conference with all police and administrative authorities on Friday in the East Singhbhum district headquarters auditorium.

Officers from JUSCO and representatives from urban and rural bodies attended the conference. The meeting’s major objective was to maintain law and order during upcoming Holi celebrations in the district.

Following a meeting with representatives from every department, the Deputy Commissioner said that detailed instructions for preserving social harmony have been provided.

She said that sensitive police stations have been given instructions to be vigilant and watch for persons acting suspiciously and wantonly so that persons against whom warrants have been issued and who are still evading arrest may be apprehended. Also, the local government has been facilitating civic facilities in view of the upcoming festivals.

The Deputy Commissioner and the SSP have already started making detailed security preparations for Holi, which falls on March 8 and are taking no chances in ensuring a tranquil celebration.
