A crucial meeting with the Central Peace Committee sets the stage for a safe and harmonious Holi in Jamshedpur, with strict adherence to law and order.

JAMSHEDPUR – District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal and Senior Superintendent of Police Kishore Kaushal convened a meeting at Sidhgora Town Hall to discuss law and order during the Holi festival, emphasizing community safety and adherence to the Model Code of Conduct in light of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Key points addressed include the enforcement of traffic regulations, abstention from intoxicants, and the responsible use of social media to prevent the spread of misinformation.

Security measures for the Holi festival will be bolstered through heightened surveillance, including monitoring drink driving and objectionable content online, as well as conducting flag marches in sensitive areas.

The police are set to enforce strict guidelines on DJ music usage during festivities to avoid social disruptions and clamp down on the illegal sale of alcohol and drugs.

With collaborative efforts between police, administrative officials, and the Central Peace Committee, the focus is on fostering a safe environment for the community to celebrate Holi in a spirit of harmony and mutual respect.
