35,131 applications received under Sarkar Aapke Dwar for CMEGP

Ranchi: 35,131 applications have been received under Sarkar Aapke Dwar for CMEGP in Jharkhand.

The ambitious public outreach programme of the Hemant Soren-led government for doorstep delivery for select welfare schemes has enabled the public to not just have hassle-free access to various state-run schemes but also has been successful in embarking them on a path to a better future.

Binit Minj, a resident of Simdega received a loan of Rs 12 lakhs under the ambit of the Chief Minister Employment Generation Scheme (CMEGP) through the Aapki Yojana Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar campaign.

Binit narrates that due to the support of the government he has been able to launch his business venture that has been successful in empowering him not just financially but also socially. Similarly, Vinay Dungdung has received a loan of Rs 16 lakhs under the aforesaid scheme through which he brought a four-wheeler Scorpio. Vinay an ex- taxi driver would earn a meager 10-12 thousand a month but now after having a vehicle of his own his financial condition has got better drastically.

Like Binit and Vinay, a girl from Kharsota Panchayat of Garhwa received a loan of Rs 11 lakhs for a poultry farm. Thousands of young men and women have availed the benefits of the Sarkar Aapke Dwar campaign as they have ventured into the path of self-employment and financial independence.

The scheme has benefited thousands of beneficiaries. Under the Aapki Yojana Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar campaign a glorious number of 35,131 applications were received under the CMEGP scheme at the camps organized across various districts.

Out of these, 16,230 applications were processed, 14,657 applications are pending, while 3,581 applications are under process.

Maximum number of applications have been received from Garhwa that is 3,706, followed by Palamu that is 3,600, Giridih 3,103, Dumka 2,415, Deoghar 2,342, East-Singhbhum 2,359, Koderma 2,200, West-Singhbhum 1,867, Khunti 1,864, Godda 1,812 and Latehar 1,067.

As per the instructions of the Chief Minister Hemant Soren consistent efforts are being made to motivate the youth for self-employment through the CMEGP scheme.

So far, thousands of young men and women have come forward and taken the advantage of the aforementioned scheme and embarked on the path of Self-employment.
