AJSU demands caste-based census in Jharkhand

Condition of OBCs, minorities and BCs is miserable: Sudesh Mahato

Jamshedpur: AJSU has once again reiterated its demand for a caste-based census in Jharkhand.

Sudesh Mahato, who visited Jamshedpur and participated in a one-day conference of his party here, said that the condition of backwards, minorities and OBCs in Jharkhand is miserable.

AJSU supremo Sudesh Kumar Mahato arrived in Jamshedpur on Sunday to attend the social justice conference organized by AJSU Backward Classes Morcha at Gurdwara Auditorium, Telco, Jamshedpur.

He appealed to the state government to take serious steps to improve the condition of socially deprived sections.

Addressing the conference, the AJSU supremo spoke of uniting and agitating for the upliftment of the OBC, minority and backward classes of the state.

In this conference organized in the memory of martyr Jagdev Babu, other leaders including former state minister Ramchandra Sahis, AJSU Central Working Committee member Hare Lal Mahto also expressed their views.

AJSU supremo Sudesh Kumar Mahto expressed concern over the condition of OBCs, minorities and backwards of Jharkhand and said that there is an ongoing loot in the name of water, forest and land in Jharkhand. People are being evicted from their land.

He said that AJSU has launched a phased movement against such misdemeanors.

He appealed to the people to unite and participate in this movement.
