JMM Candidate Samir Mohanty Pledges to Address Mithila Community’s Needs in Parliament

Jharkhand Minister Mithilesh Thakur held a significant meeting with Mithila residents at Bistupur Hotel, where various cultural organizations voiced their longstanding demands.

JAMSHEDPUR – Jharkhand Minister Mithilesh Thakur convened a meeting today with residents of Mithila at Bistupur Hotel.

The meeting saw participation from the Mithila Cultural Council, International Maithili Council, and other Mithila organizations.

During the meeting, the community members expressed their desire for a direct rail service from Tatanagar to Jaynagar, a demand that has yet to be fulfilled by the outgoing MP.

They also highlighted the absence of the Mithila subject in the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) syllabus.

Responding to these concerns, Mithilesh Thakur assured that JMM MLA and Indi alliance candidate Samir Mohanty will be their voice in Parliament upon winning the election.

He promised that Mohanty would work towards fulfilling all the community’s demands, including the rail service and inclusion of the Mithila subject in JPSC.

This meeting reflects the ongoing efforts to address the specific needs of the Mithila community and emphasizes the commitment of the JMM and its candidates to cater to regional demands.
