DC Vijaya Jadhav inspects Sakchi Market at night

Drop gate planned in Sakchi market, no entry of vehicles in market area

Jamshedpur: The Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum Vijaya Jadhav inspected Sakchi market area and parking lots Sunday night. She was accompanied by the top officials of the district administration as well as JNAC officials.

The DC hinted that the administration is likely to take some steps to curb entry of vehicles into the market area to ensure that there is no jam situation in the market.

Most of the vehicles would now remain in the parking lots earmarked for the market visitors.

With the aim of making Jamshedpur’s Sakchi market jam-free, the Deputy Commissioner of the district has been monitoring the situation herself.

On Sunday night, she reached the Sakchi market area and inspected all the different markets and parking lots.

Encroachment was removed from Sakchi main road recently and after that a footpath was constructed there.

On Sunday, the Deputy Commissioner of the district did a physical inspection of the market and also got to know about the status of all the parking places.

She said that to make the market jam-free, drop gates would be installed in the market and all vehicles would be banned from entering the market.

People will enter the market only after parking their vehicles at the parking lot and come back by walking.

She was accompanied by the ADM (Law and Order) Nand Kishore Lal, JNAC City Manager Ravi Bharti as well as Sakchi police station in-charge and many other officers.

DC speaks to media during inspection of Sakchi Market Sunday night.
