Corona claims 1 life in Jharkhand on Monday, total deaths 1,064

Ranchi: Coronavirus has claimed one more life in Jharkhand on Monday. The single death caused by coronavirus has been reported from Ranchi district. With this the total number of deaths caused by coronavirus pandemic in the state has now reached 1,064 till Monday.

According to official data, 74 new cases of Corona virus infection were detected in Jharkhand on Monday taking the total number of infections to 1,18,360. On the other hand 122 patients were also cured and discharged from different hospitals in the state. The total number of cured patients in Jharkhand state has now reached 1,16,524.

For now the state has only 772 active cases of coronavirus infection. Till date, the state has tested 51,50,854 samples. Of these, 1,18,360 samples have tested positive while 1064 patients have died of coronavirus infection.

As per official data the recovery rate in the state is at 98.44% while the mortality rate has come down to 0.89%. East Singhbhum remains the worst affected district of Jharkhand. However, East Singhbhum has not reported any death for the last 9 days.
