Coronavirus claims 2 more lives in Jharkhand, total deaths 1063

Ranchi: Two more lives have been lost to coronavirus pandemic in Jharkhand on Sunday. With this, the total death toll has now reached 1,063. On Sunday, Ranchi and West Singhbhum were the districts that reported one death each.

According to official data, the state has tested 51,39,500 samples till Sunday. Out of these samples, 1,18,236 have tested positive while 1,16,402 patients have already been cured and discharged.

The state still has 821 active cases of coronavirus infections.

On Sunday too, 54 new cases were detected across the state. On the other hand, 109 patients were also cured and discharged, while 2 death was reported from the state, one from Ranchi and one from West Singhbhum.

The recovery rate in the state has now reached 98.40%. The mortality rate is still ate 0.89%.

East Singhbhum still remains the most affected district in the state. However, for the last 46 days, only 1 death has been reported in East Singhbhum district and the condition has vastly improved from what it was a couple of months back.
