Coronavirus claims 1 life in Jharkhand on Monday, total death toll now 1,020

Ranchi: Coronavirus has taken 1 life on Monday in Jharkhand, taking the total death toll in the state due to the pandemic to 1,020 now.

As per official data, 152 new cases were also found in the state. With this, the total number of positive cases in the state has now reached 1,14,428. On the other hand, 154 patients were also cured and discharged. The total number of recoveries has now reached 1,11,818.

For now, the state has only 1,582 active cases of coronavirus infection.

In all, 47,53,586 samples have been tested in the state till Monday. Out of these, only 1,14,428 have tested positive.

The recovery rate in the state has now reached 97.72%, while the mortality rate remains at 0.89%.

East Singhbhum is the worst-affected district of the state. However, no death has been reported from the district for the last 20 years.
