Mango police bust arms racket, one arrested with 2 pistols, 4 kattas

Jamshedpur: In a major success, Jamshedpur police, acting on a tip-off, have arrested one Praveer Singh with two pistols and four desi katas along with 15 live cartridges. Praveer Singh is brother of Pradip Singh, accused in several crime cases.

Giving the details to media persons in Jamshedpur on Thursday, the SSP of Jamshedpur, Dr. M Tamil Vanan, said that this is a big achievement for the city police, especially the Mango police. He said that the arrested accused was involved in arms supply racket. He said that names of six miscreants have surfaced during the interrogation. The city police have registered cases against them and raids have started to arrest all of them.

He said that the police suspect that the criminals may have been planning some big crime in the city.

He said that the arrested accused Praveer works as a container driver. The SSP said that he has been active in the crime world along with his brother for the last 2-3 years.

He, however, claimed that investigations are on and more facts are likely to be unearthed as the investigations progress.
