Jamshedpur Police Bust Armed Robbery Gang, Three Arrested

City SP Mukesh Lunayat leads operation to crack high-profile looting cases

Swift action by law enforcement brings relief to residents as notorious criminals behind recent armed robberies are apprehended.

JAMSHEDPUR – City police have successfully cracked a series of armed robbery cases, leading to the arrest of three notorious criminals.

"This operation demonstrates our commitment to maintaining law and order in Jamshedpur," stated Lunayat Mukesh, City SP, during a press conference.

The arrested individuals are Sharma Om Harsh (25), Dev Kumar Rahul (24), and Mahato Uday Arun (25), all residents of Jamshedpur.

Police recovered stolen items including an RS200 Pulsar motorcycle, Rs. 2000 cash, and three mobile phones used in the crimes.

The gang was responsible for a string of robberies in the MGM and Birsanagar areas on June 21st and 22nd.

"Their modus operandi involved threatening victims with firearms and forcibly taking over vehicles," Lunayat explained.

One of the arrested individuals has a prior criminal record, highlighting the gang’s notorious nature.

The police action followed intensive investigations, including surveillance and intelligence gathering.

SP Lunayat urged the community to remain vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement to prevent future incidents.

Authorities have called for any additional victims or witnesses to come forward with information to aid the ongoing investigation.
